The second session of the 13th CPPCC Shanghai Committee was held from January 26th 2019 through January 31st 2019.
Mr. Alan Young, was invited to attend the big event, together with relevant department heads and representatives, as well as officials of consular offices in Shanghai, during which they heard the reports on the work of NPC (National People’s Congress) Shanghai and CPPCC Shanghai Committee, also discussed and studied key meeting documents.
June 8 to 10, 2018, the 20th 2018 China Venture Capital & Private Equity Forum was held in Wuzhou Hotel Shenzhen, hosted by Construction Central, People’s Government of Guangdong Province, Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government. The Forum gathered many high-level guests.
As the speaker of Overseas Forum Session themed “Construction of the Industrial Chain by Science Geeks and Art Masters”, Mr. Alan Young introduced the implementation plan of landing overseas technologies in China through Leo Band & Co. International Science & Technology Innovation Base, and also shared some successful cases. The attendees showed enthusiastic response.
On March 23, 2018, hosted by APCA (Asia Pacific Cloud Application Alliance) and INVOTECH (Hong Kong), undertaken by Cyberport , co-hosted by Microsoft, Ideation, Asia Pacific Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Innovation Application Research Institute, Asia-Pacific Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Application and Technology Symposium officially kicked off at Hong Kong Cyberport. During this Symposium, experts from the United States, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Singapore in the field of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence shared their latest technological developments, at the same time, there are also the latest Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence applications from the Asia Pacific Region.
During the symposium, Mr. Alan Young, founder of Shanghai Branch and Mr. Steve Lap Wai Hui, Director of Asia-Pacific Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Innovation Application Research Institute, conducted the Signing Ceremony, which announced officially the establishment of Shanghai Branch of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Innovation Application Research Institute.
The Symposium focusing on the topic of “Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence innovation and application” conducted in-depth discussions and prospects and attracted many industry authority experts and elites and companies from Silicon Valley, London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.
August 29, 2017, Shanghai Xuhui District Intellectual Property Protection Association (hereinafter referred to as “SXIPPA”) successfully held the second session of the General Assembly and the first Council, the successful completion of the general election. The leader of the Science and Technology Commission of Xuhui District Zhu Yanlong comrades in person at the meeting site, affirmed the contents of the General Assembly, the SXIPPA’s previous work to agree, and the future work of the SXIPPA put forward new requirements and expectations.
Elected by member unit, unanimously agreed by Leoband Co. as SXIPPA Secretary-General unit.
Members of the SXIPPA of Shanghai Jiaotong University Law School, School of Intellectual Property of East China University of Political Science and Law , WTO College of Shanghai University of International Business and Economics and many other institutions of higher education resources, as well as Caohejing Development Zone, Shanghai Intellectual Property Trading Center, Juke Biology Park, Park, East China Science and Technology Park, Shanghai Science and Technology and other leading enterprises and institutions. All-round realization of project evaluation, intellectual property protection, project financing and other integrated services.
After years of preparation, Leo Band & Co. success in the establishment of overseas office in Silicon Valley and the office is now operational.The main functions of this overseas office are the following aspects:
(1) Docking Silicon Valley sophisticated technology projects, as the bridge of domestic resources docking, referral overseas projects to land in China;
(2) Hold roadshow for domestic projects in Silicon Valley;
(3) To assist Chinese government department and enterprises to set up their own overseas offices in Silicon Valley.
Mr. Alan Young and Ms. Freya Sheng visited the United States to study the operation mode of overseas incubators, visited well-known enterprises and institutions of higher education in Silicon Valley. During their visit in United States, Mr. Alan Young and Ms. Freya Sheng visited those well-known multinational companies such as Apple, Google, Tesla, Y Combinator, RocketSpace and other well-known incubators in the world’s top five. They also had a profound exchange with some of the person responsible, to explore the mainstream trend of cutting-edge technology, and established friendly long-term relationship with the Norcal Pan-Asia Dragonsourcing Consulting Group .
During the period, the two also actively participate in Stanford, Berkeley, San Francisco University and other institutions of higher learning academic exchange activities, and reached preliminary consensus with some colleges and universities in technical staff training cooperation mechanism.
The first session of the 14th committee of the CPPCC in Shanghai Xuhui District was held from Jan. 7th 2017 to Jan. 10th 2017. Mr. Alan Young was reelected and reappointed as one of the committe. He attended the conference to debrief the reports and discuss with other conferees.
LeoLab, an incubator affiliated with Leo Band & Co., which at the beginning of 2016, was nominated by local government and after a series of procedures of verification, has been approved of the first batch of maker spaces in Shanghai.
On October 3rd, 2016, the fifty-sixth WIPO General Assembly was held in Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. Francis Gurry, the Director General of WIPO, reported the organization’s outstanding achievements of the last year in IP and finance.
As one of the WIPO’s permanent observers, IIPCC representatives attended the meeting, reviewed the improvements IIPCC has obtained and took part in the discussion about future policy trends.
Mr. Mark Lanning, the Director of Immigration of Withers, visited LEO BAND &CO. Mr. Lanning discussed with our Mr. Alan Young, Ms. Freya Sheng, Mr. Jeff Young about potential future cooperation in work regarding investment, immigration, intellectual property protection and other services. In the end, this meeting served as a basis for promising cooperation in the future.
